It’s a very practical course, which fills the knowledge gap most doctors have in regards to diet and nutrition. It prepares doctors to confidently make diet plans for their patients. We start with the theoretical aspects of diet and nutrition including macronutrients, micronutrients, acid/base balance, electrolytes etc.
The course then progresses to cover diet planning for healthy individuals (meal plan for kids, adults, old people etc.). Clinical nutrition gets covered next, which includes making diet plans for patients with indications like diabetes, hypertension, heart problem, weight loss, weight gain etc. At the end, we discuss some popular diet plans like Keto diet, Dixit diet etc., and explain the kind of patients who should and should not follow these popular diet plans.
